I bought this lovely Art Deco inspired dress and was pretty happy about it! Until I tried it on. :/
I usually buy a size 18/M in dresses from CC and the bust was baggy on me. So I guess size down? This is of course A-line so it should cascade off the hips and bum, but wow I wasn't expecting that. Also as much as I love the tulle fluffing the dress, why was it covered with one thin sheet of flowy fabric? I felt as if the infrastructure of the skirt was not well disguised. I was pretty disappointed because over the tulle there seemed to be this whatever, unimpressive black lining and immediately this thin veil. I didn't feel flighty or amazing in this. I was actually expecting layers of thin veils on top of some tulle. Also I was expecting more of those natural pleats and creases to be in the skirt but I had too few to be like the picture. The bodice with the belt (covered in satin-esque material, which I really appreciate) were fabulous. I just feel the skirt killed it.
